Research suggests cure for early OA

Is the cause of Osteoarthritis (OA) in the cartilage or the underlying bone? Researchers at Johns Hopkins University theorize, based on a new study, that initial damage to cartilage causes the underlying bone to grow, which stretches the cartilage and places further stress on it. Blocking a certain bone regulation protein halted the progression of the disease in mice and gives some insight for the future of OA treatment in humans. Read the full article here.
